Seasons 1-4 of the show will be departing Netflix US in February 2023
We are shocked that numerous One Piece seasons will no longer be available on Netflix US from February 2023, despite the upcoming live-action series releasing sometime next year and a vast selection of anime episodes currently held in their library.
One Piece is one of the world’s most beloved anime series, and its addition to Netflix was a huge success. We never expected news that multiple seasons of this popular show would soon be departing from the streaming platform.
To make matters even more exciting for fans everywhere, a live-action adaptation of One Piece is also on its way to Netflix in the near future.
For those who are already devoted fans of the anime, you’ll still have access to six seasons. However, for any newbies looking to embark on a journey with One Piece on Netflix US, you’d better start streaming now.
It’s been officially announced that multiple series of One Piece will be departing Netflix US on February 11th, 2023.
Netflix US is due to remove all episodes from the early “Romance Dawn” (Episode 1) through the concluding chapter of the groundbreaking “Alabasta Saga” (Episode 130). This equates to an enormous loss of entire seasons in its US library.

On June 12th, 2020, Netflix added the initial four seasons of One Piece. These episodes have been available to stream for over two and a half years now!
In only two and a half incredible years, Netflix has had the ability to stream those episodes, but sadly that license is soon expiring.
Taking the two-year gap between the release of One Piece Seasons 1 to 4 and 5 to 10 into consideration, we can expect Netflix’s library of One Piece episodes to remain incomplete until January/February 2025.
As the live-action adaptation of this series is set to be released on Netflix in 2023, it would benefit Netflix if it attempted to relicense any removed seasons.
Although the show is widely popular among fans, Netflix’s rivals Crunchyroll and FUNimation may opt to keep their hands on the anime rights for themselves.
