44.2 Million People Have Subscribed To HBO: HBO Max

Warner Media’s HBO and HBO Max is now having 44.2 million subscribers with a combined 63.9 worldwide subscribers. This is up from 41.5 million total HBO Max and HBO domestic subscribers at the end of 2020. In 2020, Warner Media that is HBO was having only 33.1 million subscribers whereas HBO Max was having 53.8 million worldwide subscribers.

AT&T has yet not broken the specific number of subscribers that HBO Max is having but the reports are very much clear that streaming platform HBO and HBO Max has shown an increase in the number of subscribers. CEO John Stankey, the telecom giant CEO disclosed the latest figures in the reports of Thursday and has said that the overall AT&T revenues are rising to 2.7% to $43.9 million on momentum just from the wireless phone business.

Furthermore, the CEO says that we are having a very strong quarter of postpaid phone net adds, lower churn, high gross adds, and good growth in EBITDA. He also says that we are going to increase the penetration in the markets where we will offer fiber broadband and will move further in the development of more fiber. HBO Max has continued to provide strong subscriber and revenue growth in advance only.

On the call of analyst, John Stankey cited Warner Media to be a success and with its day and date theatrical strategy and a bolstered content slate was coming out of the pandemic. He points Godzilla vs Kong to be the domestic box office and said that this is the main reason for hiring new subscriptions to HBO Max. Warner Media is gaining lots of popularity and hopefully, by the next year, the rate of subscribers will increase to a good number.
