Your lunch break at work is a time to get away from the screen, relax, and (of course) eat lunch. But a surprising amount of people waste their lunch break by staring at their phones. This guide will look at some of the ways you can maximize your lunch break.

Eat the right foods

Firstly, it’s important to eat the right foods at lunch. Eat too much and you’ll feel sluggish for the rest of the day. Eat too little and you’ll be thinking about your hunger pangs and not focusing on what the boss is telling you. The ideal work lunch is full of energy-rich foods like fruit, nuts, fatty fish, brown rice, and eggs. Once you have perfect the work lunch, you’ll become a master of afternoon productivity.

Close your eyes

If you work in an office, you probably spend most of the day staring at the screen, which can be pretty bad for your health. For starters, it’s bad for your eye health, so you need to get some blue-light blocking glasses and take regular breaks. Then, at lunch, you should consider getting some shut-eye to give your retinas a break.

Do nothing

This might not be the most revolutionary piece of advice, but it’s still relevant. If your life is too busy and is getting you stressed out, you should consider doing nothing on your lunch break. If you can find a quiet space, try a guided meditation or just sit in silence. This will help you feel reenergized and calmer for the rest of the day.

If you just want to stare at your smartphone and switch off from the world, you should consider doing something productive.
