Apple offered $10 million to a company that manufactures COVID-19 sample collection kits, names Copan Diagnostics. The aim is to help in increasing the scale for its coronavirus sample kit production capability from thousand to over million kits a week by July. Apple raised its finds which is usually reserved for close suppliers such as Corning- shows the urgency it is placing for the projects.

The following fund will help Copan to a new end large facility in Southern California, creating as in 50 jobs. Also, apple will help Copan to source materials from the “Companies all over the US”. Whenever designing new kits in collaboration with other companies.

Copan stands for a “Global player in the department of specimen collection and preservation for infectious disease diagnosis.” Stated by Apple, “and moreover Apple also feels that for the COVID-19 testing process, Copan’s kits are playing a sensitive role. This company is known for investigating the flocked swab, nylon tipped stick that helps to take rapid collection and extraction of samples. Copan is additionally the “leading transport medium for transport, collection, storage of specimens which contains viruses and preservation.
