Authorities say a 21-year-old man in Southern California tormented his girlfriend before murdering her on Christmas Eve. According to local Fox 11 Los Angeles, Saul Nava is being detained on $2 million bond in the Ventura County prison. He is there on accusations of murder, mayhem, and torture. Mayhem is a felony allegation in California that states a person deformed or handicapped a victim’s body “unlawfully and maliciously.”
The so called love birds were living together from a long time. They guy used to come out and meet people. The neighbours have claimed that they have never seen the girl happy. They used to go out but a sign of fear was always there on her face.
Man kills his girlfriend after torturing her
When Ventura County sheriff’s officers arrived at the scene of an emergency call at 1:15 a.m. on Christmas Eve. They discovered the lady had sustained terrible injuries and was unresponsive. Despite attempts to save her life, she was pronounced dead at the spot.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators also uncovered indications that the lady had been tortured before being slain. According to the department, detectives investigated Nava’s home and retrieved pertinent material.
Evidences show the reports of torture
Investigators discovered evidence that the lady had been tortured before she died. This led to the arrest of the victim’s live-in boyfriend, Saul Nava, who was also there at the time. On suspicion of murder, mayhem, and torture, Nava is being detained in the Ventura County Jail. He is also charged on a $2 million bond. On Tuesday, he is set to be arraigned.
