Carole Baskin and her husband, Howard Baskin, sued Netflix on November 16th, 2021. This is only one day before the premiere of Tiger King season 2. However, they planned to sue on the grounds of breaching contracts, rights to television material, and endangering people’s lives.
Netflix and the production business, Royal Goode Productions, have no right to use unlicensed material in Tiger King season 2. Carole Baskin has also declined to appear in the second season, alleging that they do not have the right to her image.
Carole Baskin On Suing The Production House
“SoBaskin on Monday sued the streamer and Royal Goode Productions in Florida federal court, filing an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order barring them ‘from any use of film footage of the Baskins and the Big Cat Rescue sanctuary in Tiger King 2 or in any related promotion or advertising,” according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Her and her husband were anticipating the release of a film that would expose the large cat trafficking.
Baskin has criticised Netflix for comparing her Cat Sanctuary and Joe Exotics Zoo in Tiger King’s first season. In terms of morals and ethics, Netflix has them categorised as nearly identical.
