Demi Lovato’s decision to part ways with manager Scooter Braun comes amidst a wave of rumors and speculations. Word is, Justin Bieber, one of the biggest names in Braun’s roster, is also making a departure from his management. Lovato has not made an official disclosure of her decision but sources close to her have stated that “she is thankful for her time with Braun’s SB Projects firm, the former Disney star is looking to go in a new direction.”
Scooter Braun’s management roster boasts a roster of prominent artists, including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Tori Kelly, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Dan + Shay. Demi’s departure from such a star-studded roster would mean a desperate need for change on her part.
The source also confirmed that Demi Lovato’s decision to part ways from her current management was made before the rumors involving Bieber surfaced. So, we may conclude that the departures are unrelated. Demi Lovato hasn’t secured new management as yet but conversations are underway.

Braun’s firm hasn’t commented on Demi’s potential departure. Braun had recently wished Demi on her birthday praising her as “one of the kindest souls out there.”
Demi Lovato was previously managed by Phil McIntyre of Philymack. He was somewhat of a controlling figure who tried to control Lovato’s eating habits by hiding sugar from her and not letting her have birthday cakes. We can assume that didn’t go too well considering the singer was already battling an eating disorder.
Lovato’s transition to Scooter Braun’s management was marked by understanding and support. Braun even got her a cake on her birthday. “I spent it with Ariana Grande, who is one of my good friends, and we just had the best birthday, and I just remember crying because I was finally eating cake with a manager that didn’t need anything from me and that loved me for who I am and supported my journey,” Lovato shared.
Now, Lovato will move further ahead in life, maybe taking a completely different professional direction like her album “Revamped” which will hit the market on September 15.
