Remember a few years ago when this video on Youtube, which we thought of as the official GTA 6 teaser surfaced? That turned out to be fake, right?
It has been ten years since the very first teaser of GTA V, which rocked the whole world. We were introduced to high-level graphics along with a compelling storyline and a great game overall.
The game is still topping charts and its online mode sees millions of players every day. The fans, and people all around have now been eagerly waiting for Rockstar to unveil their next big project.
The Announcement
After quite some years of flying rumors, Rockstar finally announced their project of GTA 6 as “well underway.”
A Rockstar spokesperson said the following in a press release:
“With the unprecedented longevity of GTA V, we know many of you have been asking us about a new entry in the Grand Theft Auto series. With every new project we embark on, our goal is always to move beyond what we have previously delivered significantly. And we are pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry. The Grand Theft Auto series is well underway. We look forward to sharing more as soon as we are ready, so please stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.
On behalf of our entire team, we thank you all for your support and cannot wait to step into the future with you!”
Rockstar rolled out hints of game development in 2020, but there was no follow-up. GTA 6, if titled the same, is tentatively set to release in 2024 or 2025.
Expectations
Rockstar isn’t saying or committing anything further. Some of the previous reports suggest that the game will initially be launched smaller to GTA V. Updates will come out, adding further to the map and overall game.
Last year Rockstar acquired a new system of NPC Navigation which we can see entirely in the works, providing significant graphic updates for the game.
The whole world is excited and anticipating another rock-solid performance by Rockstar with the release of this game.
All we can do now is just wait and watch and hope that Rockstar outperforms itself, or is it a completely different story.
