James Snyder Fired Following A Colleague's Complaint

Following a complaint from his co-star, the producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child fired Harry Potter star, James Snyder. James Snyder plays Harry Potter in the show. Diane Davis plays Harry’s wife, Ginny. She complained to the producers about his conduct on Nov 19th.

Diane Davis refrained from making any comments related to the matter. Moreover, she took a leave of absence to maintain the integrity of the investigation. However, how long Davis would take to return is still unknown.

What do the producers have to say?

After receiving this complaint, the producers stated that they commissioned an independent investigation. They suspended Mr. Snyder till the third party completed the investigation. After the investigation, they told Mr. Snyder not to return to the production. They also indicated terminating his contract.

The Hollywood Reporter tried to reach out to Snyder’s representative for Snyder’s comments. The producers of the cursed child added, “We commit to fostering a safe and inclusive workplace. We have robust workplace policies and procedures. It is for all those involved in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This includes strict prohibitions against harassment in any form. We also provide channels through which any employee can report any misconduct. Our extremely talented team brings production to life. We will continue to do all we can to ensure that the team feels safe, empowered, and fully supported.”

Snyder was a part of many Broadway productions. He was involved in many shows such as Cry-Baby, If/Then, and In Transit. In The Good Wife, Rizzoli & Isles, Blue Bloods, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and Drop Dead Diva, he made few appearances.
