What is a story line all about?
Teddy (Rafe Spall) is often late for big events. Because of his bad time management abilities, he arrived at a New Year’s Eve celebration in the final seconds before midnight only to swoop in and land a huge smooch on… Becka (Zahra Newman), a random stranger whom he mistook for his flighty lover, Leanne (Zahra Newman) (Dena Kaplan). To make matters worse, he experiences anaphylactic shock shortly after kissing her since she had been eating nuts. Despite their haphazard meeting, the pair hit it off and were engaged after a beautiful four-year relationship. He figures he’ll be able to coast for a few more years before heading down the aisle.
The climax and turning point that keeps the audience stuck
Teddy’s life takes a dramatic change when he is contacted by a mystery woman (Noni Hazlehurst) in a graveyard, who bestows a gift on him – one that he will get once he marries Leanne. The wedding ceremony and reception go off without a hitch. Teddy falls asleep and wakes up a year later on the bride and groom’s first night as husband and wife. It doesn’t end there, though. His life begins to fly at a breakneck speed, flashing forward a year every 20 minutes or so, and each time he sees his marriage crumbles. He gradually realises that if he wants to reclaim the lady he loves, he can no longer postpone.
