Marvel and Electronic Arts Join Forces for Black Panther Game

Marvel and Electronic Arts (EA) have recently unveiled their second collaboration. They are developing a new single-player Black Panther video game. The newly formed EA studio based in Seattle called Cliffhanger Games is undertaking the project. The third person action-adventure title is likely to draw inspiration from the Insomniac Spider-Man games. Marvel promises an immersive experience. 

Cliffhanger Games is committed to meticulously crafting every aspect of Wakanda. Its technology, heroes, and overall environment will be developed in collaboration with Marvel, along with a new original storyline.

Kevin Stephens is heading the team at Cliffhanger. He’s known for his work at Monolith Productions on Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor. He’ll be Joined by developers from God of War, Halo Infinite, and Call of Duty. Hence, we can expect a very high-octane gaming experience.

Stephens shared his aim to create a gaming experience with unprecedented control over the narrative. The players will have ample opportunity to explore the rich and epic Wakandan universe while playing a story-driven game. 

Amidst the buzz about the Black Panther game, it has also been revealed that EA Motive, the studio behind the upcoming Dead Space remake, is working on an Iron Man game. This one too is expected to be a third person single player action adventure game. But no further details are available. There is no definitive release window available for either of the games.

The partnership between Marvel and EA should spin out some very high quality games in the future. The fans of Black Panther would be keen to immerse themselves in the Wakandan universe, as the protector of the world. The wait is quite agonizing.
