OnePlus 10 Pro Review: OnePlus’s history is unusual. Beginning as one of the most significant disruptions in the Android market before resting in under Oppo as a supporter of the smartphone established order; slipping behind its rival companies in software reliability and dedication as costs have risen. Every year presents an opportunity to rectify that. But the OnePlus 10 Pro proves that all but the most ardent fans will have to wait a bit longer in the hopes that things will improve.
While the smartphone has some excellent individual features; such as rapid charging and high-bit RAW/LOG camera capabilities; it makes many other concessions to recommend considering the competition.
About One Plus 10 Pro
The OnePlus 10 Pro is a combination of improvements and downgrades; straying too far from its “Pro” moniker in too many areas to recommend – especially for $900. This current model foregoes both mmWave and an IP certification while lowering storage and RAM at the same time. While the battery life is improved, OnePlus is lagging in software and update commitments, and OxygenOS remains divisive at best. The camera has several beautiful capabilities, but its unreliability makes it a bad buy in 2022 compared to other phones.
Overview
OnePlus had a good run. The OnePlus 9 Pro last year demonstrated that it could create a real high-end smartphone challenger to other smartphones. OnePlus, on the other hand, has failed to push the boundaries further with the OnePlus 10. The OnePlus 10 Pro features excellent fast-charging capabilities; a stunning screen that’s slightly better than last year’s model; and OxygenOS continues to improve the Android experience without detracting from it.
In the United States, the OnePlus 10 Pro price is $899 for the black and green variants with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. According to the business, the models with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage will be available later. Although OnePlus’ cameras were excellent last year, they are not on par with the top phone cameras in 2022. Even for die-hard OnePlus fans seeking to jump from the OnePlus 9 Pro; the OnePlus 10 Pro is difficult to recommend above Google’s flagship when the Pixel 6 Pro costs the same.
