Over time, these independent stations have merged into a large space station known as ‘The Ark’. Around 2,400 people now live there.
Given that resources are so rare, the death sentence (“floating”) is pronounced for anyone older than eighteen years old. However, when the Ark’s life support systems started deteriorating, one hundred young prisoners who were considered expendable were sent to Earth with the mission of determining if it was inhabitable again.
A group of a hundred teenagers crash-land on an unknown planet that they’ve only seen from space. The terrain is hostile and full of dangers, so the teens work together to create their own community. They realize that not everyone perished in the war, some people actually survived on Earth and made it to this planet. These survivors are now called “grounders.”
The Ark is made up of the space stations that used to be for the countries USA, Uganda, UK, India, Canada, Brazil, Japan, France, China, Russia, Venezuela, and Australia.
