It’s been just a year since the Record of Ragnarok release date of season 1. It came out on June 17, 2021. The season one Record of Ragnarok review was highly positive. And the fans are already eagerly waiting for season 2 of Record of Ragnarok.
Record of Ragnarok is a Netflix Original anime series in the fantasy-action genre (although coming from Warner Bros. Japan technically). It is the adaptation of the Record of Ragnarok manga by the authors Takumi Fukui and Shinya Umeura. Graphinica is the producer of the series who has previously worked on anime including Wonder Momo, Hellsing, and Another World.
The official Twitter account has officially announced the Record of Ragnarok season 2 release date to be sometime in 2023. A visual poster has also been released indicating the pending godly fights. The first season with a total of 11 episodes covered 3 fights between Gods and humans.
What Was The Plot Of Season 1?
It is decided by the gods to destroy the earth because of the utterly poor conditions of Earth due to humans. Then the battle between gods and humankind begins. And the gods are ahead of mankind with a lead of 2-1. The first season of Record of Ragnarok ended indicating the next season. And this made the fandom go crazy right from that point.
In the first season, the Record of Ragnarok Thor had a face off against the military general and warlord from China’s Han Dynasty, Lu Bu. Thor won ultimately. The second bout was between the Record of Ragnarok Adam and Zeus. And it ended in favor of Adam Record of Ragnarok. But Kajiro Saski came out victorious in the third bout with the god Poseidon coming to the relief of mankind.
The series will most probably follow the storyline of Ragnarok manga. Then the Record of Ragnarok II will have Raiden Tameemon, Jack the Ripper, the sumo wrestler, and the Record of Ragnarok Buddha on the side of humans.
The fourth round that has just begun will show the god Hercules taking on the infamous serial killer, Jack the Ripper. The Record of Ragnarok season 2 will further have the round five probably between Raiden, Tameemon and Shiva. And round six could be Zerofuku vs Buddha Record of Ragnarok.
Another major character is the Record of Ragnarok Aphrodite who is the goddess of love with an unearthly beauty. And the Aphrodite Record of Ragnarok is extremely furious at the humans for miss-handling Earth. In every meeting of the council, she votes in favor of destroying the Earth.

Latest News On The New Season
One can speculate the story of the development from the poster released by the authorities. It shows Brynhildr on the left, while Buddha, Jack the Ripper, Heracles, Shiva, Raiden Tameemon, and Reifuku are on the right.
The anime is moving at a snail’s pace. Therefore if someone wants to read the Record of Ragnarok, they can do so very easily. There are all the volumes of Record of Ragnarok manga online available on the manga subscription apps like Mangamo.
So from what we see, season 2 of Record of Ragnarok could have some interesting turns and twists. The exact story will be out only after its release.
