Resident Evil Village is a sequel to Resident Evil 7. Here players control Ethan Winters. He is searching for his kidnapped daughter in a village full of strange creatures. The game is very much action focussed and is now equipped with more combat skills. The game makes you rethink your strategies as you keep playing. The enemies are not only intelligent but can attack in packs and wield weapons, so you need to be very much careful. Players are free to buy weapons, supplies, upgrades, and items from a merchant called Duke. 

Recently, two new features are present in the game. Those were Photo mode and a button to skip cutscenes. Lady Dumitrescu, a character from this game rose in popularity out of many odds. So, during promotions and merchandise before the launch of the game, this character was quite popular

Resident Evil Village is also a six-player online multiplayer game like the Resident Evil 3.

Resident Evil Village Release Date

The game was out on May 7, 2021, for PS 4, PS 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Stadia, and Microsoft Windows. Later this year Capcom is planning to bring the game to MAC as well. It is also working on the upcoming PS VR2 headset version. Before the announcement of the game in June 2020, Resident Evil 4 was in the development stage for more than 3 years. The team used season 4’s approach to create a balance of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving in the game.

Game Reviews

The game received a lot of positive reviews and praises for its settings, gameplay, variety, and graphics. But it also received some criticism for its boss fights, puzzles, and performance issues on the Windows version. Resident Evil Village was one of the best-selling across the US and UK during May 2021. So, the game is sure not to disappoint the Mac audience as well.
