AMC and GameMill Entertainment have joined forces to present a new addition to the world of choice-based video games. “The Walking Dead: Destinies,” a choose-your-own-adventure-style action game has just been announced. The game will allow players to rewrite the story of the iconic zombie comic adapted to an 11-season TV series.

Robert Kirkman’s iconic zombie comic has been at the core of the immensely popular TV series. After 11 seasons, 8 companion seasons, and multiple spin-offs, AMC still has more stories to tell. The game, however, is handing the reins over to the players. The third-person action game will allow you to change the very fabric of the story.

Players can indulge their wildest fantasies while playing the game. For instance, they can let Shane Walsh eliminate the show’s central protagonist, Rick Grimes. This would make Rick a part of the undead horde. You’ll have to wait for the game to know what kinds of turns the narrative would take after such audacious choices. For now, here’s the trailer for “The Walking Dead: Destinies”.

The game covers the first four seasons of the TV series. You can imagine how deep it goes in terms of storytelling. The trailer offers glimpses of players stepping into the shoes of characters like Rick, Daryl, and Glenn.

Flux Games, the studio renowned for its development of the Cobra Kai, is behind “The Walking Dead: Destinies.” The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.

The Walking Dead Universe just keeps expanding. A multitude of spinoffs, including “The Walking Dead: Dead City,” “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon,” and “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” keep this franchise relevant. Now, with the new game, they’re just solidifying their legacy in stone.
