Rhea Chakraborty is among those few celebrities who have shown concern for women in Afghanistan. She is the one who expresses her concern after the Taliban insurgent’s takeover of the capital city of Kabul on August 15. Rhea says that it is very much heartbreaking to know about everything that is taking place in the capital city of Kabul. As per the updates, she shared a note on her Instagram profile where she was urging global leaders to stand up for the women and minorities in Afghanistan as the Islamic militants swept into the capital city of Afghan and other major parts of the country.
As desperation and tension grew in Afghanistan among the women and girls on Monday, Chakraborty took to Instagram to call out the Taliban insurgents, the radical Islamic organization that only believes in having an interpretation that is very much strict of Islamic law. Raising a call to #smashthepatriachy, a slogan used by her when she was stuck in the controversy of Shushant Singh Rajput’s death. Rhea wrote a slogan that while women around the globe fight for “pay parity” to get what is rightfully hers, women in the country of Afghan are being sold and this is very heartbreaking for people all over the world. She adds that they (women) have become the pay and this is very much distressing to see the condition of women and girls like this. Chakraborty concluded by saying, women are human too, so why this brutal behavior only with them.
Probing further, Chakraborty had sported a smash the patriarchy black T-shirt when she was being questioned by the Narcotics Control Bureau in the case of Shushant Singh Rajput. Rhea was dating him and was arrested because of procuring drugs for him. She spends around a month in jail before she gets bail. But keeping all this aside, it is good to know that she is among the few celebrities who took a stand for the women and the girls in the capital city of Kabul.Meanwhile, the situation in Afghanistan is becoming worse than ever. As per the information from Reuters, women bankers in Afghanistan have been forced to leave their jobs just because of the Taliban organization’s growth. The last time Talian ruled the country was from 1996 to 2001 and that was the time when women were not allowed to perform any work. They also need to cover their faces and be accompanied by the male member, if they are interested in going out. However, all the rules changed after 2001, but again in 2021, the rise of the Taliban group has threatened the whole nation of Afghanistan.
