This is for a new Netflix series called griselda Netflix. Playing this role has been a passion project for Vergara for a long time. The collaboration with Latin World Entertainment has helped her bring about this project. This is according to sources close to her. Griselda Blanco is one of the most notorious drug lords. Her name has appeared along the same lines as that of Pablo Escobar, El Chapo, etc.
She is famous for creating one of the most profitable drug cartels in history. Also, she has reigned the drug world from the 70s up until her demise in 2012. She was one of the wealthiest and most dangerous women on Earth. She is also the first female criminal to become a billionaire. The sources have confirmed that the filming of this series began on 24th January 2022. Griselda Series is set to be completed on 30th June 2022. The working title of the show is “Emerald”. The shooting is taking place in parts of Los Angeles and Miami. The crew was looking for locations in California in the early November of 2021.
The production crew was filming the shots where they had to recreate the scenes from the 1970s and the 80s. In the first look of the series, Sofia Vergara Griselda is sporting a cigarette.
