NetherRealm and WB Games have unveiled the new Mortal Kombat 1, the name itself declares a rift from the previous games of the franchise. You’d expect the game to be Mortal Kombat 12 and not 1. The game will supposedly feature new fighting mechanics and game modes. There will be well known characters from the old game who’ll appear mid-fight to help you. The gore and the fatalities are retained, of course, as confirmed by the recently released teaser trailer.
While the game maintains continuity with Mortal Kombat 11 and its expansion Aftermath, players may have to re-imagine their strategy to play this game. No wonder NetherRealm and WB Games are trying to up the ante. Prime competitor Capcom has made some serious improvement to their Street Fighter 6 which is to release in June.
