Chinese smartphone company Vivo has launched yet another budget smartphone model. Just a few days ago, the company released an announcement. It was regarding the replacement of its Y33s model with the new Y21T. Vivo presents a similar device to its smartphone collection – the Y21e.
What are the design and performance features of Y21e?
Y21e has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor. It also has a 5,000mAh battery with reverse charging capability. The phone runs on FunTouch OS 12, based on Android. Moreover, it supports 18W charging through the Type-C connection.
The phone contains 3 GB of RAM with 500 MB of additional RAM and 64 GB of expandable storage. Its 6.51-inch LCD, is a bit small compared to other Vivo models. There is a 13 MP primary camera, 13MP with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. The front side has an 8 MP selfie camera with an f/1.8 aperture.
Not only it includes a 3.5 mm audio jack, FM radio, and OTG connectivity, but also twin nano-SIM cards with dual standby. With only a simulated gyroscope, users get a genuine accelerometer, light sensor, proximity sensor, and compass. Additionally, Vivo Y21e has 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, a USB Type-C connector, and Bluetooth v5.2 connectivity.
In terms of design, the Y21e has an all-plastic body. Its additional features include:
- A camera island.
- A power button/fingerprint reader on the device’s side has a shape that is unique to all Vivo phones.
- A teardrop selfie notch.
The final weight of the smartphone is 182 grams, therefore it is not too hefty.
Pricing of Vivo Y21e
The Vivo Y21e comes at a price of Rs 12,990 in India for the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage configuration. Starting January 14, the smartphone will arrive at Vivo’s online shop and in all Vivo retail outlets for users to purchase. The users can purchase the smartphone in two colors: Midnight Blue and Diamond Glow.
Vivo offers the smartphone in a single RAM + storage configuration. It has extended RAM technology. In addition, it allows users to increase the RAM by 0.5 GB by using up the smartphone’s extra storage.
