Windows 11 SE and $249 Surface Laptop SE For School Kids

Microsoft, as its Reimagine event, has announced its Window 11 SE. A lighter model of Windows 11 that is specially designed for kids in their education. The operating system is meant for lower-range laptops, and its system is designed for teachers and students. They said that it would be optimized for Microsoft-powered apps.

Moreover, Microsoft also introduced the Surface laptop SE, and it is their first try at hardware taking on Chromebook. An entry-level will be provided in Microsoft’s Surface lineup, and this laptop is exclusively sold to students and schools. The starting price of the computer is $249 in the US.

Window 11 SE

New Window SE comes as a slight change in comparison with Windows 11. Few features that are diverting or distracting students are removed, such as multiple Snap Layout and Widgets. New default features are introduced, like automatic data backup documents from Microsoft OneDrive. That is easier for students to access information when they go home. Some applications will come pre-installed like Office Teams, Minecraft for Education, OneNote, and Flipgrid.

Surprisingly Window 11 SE will support third-party apps such as Zoom and Chrome. It is easy for teachers to identify what they want to install on systems and when to update apps. Window 11 SE accepts Chrome extension.

Surface Laptop SE

The Surface Laptop SE is Microsoft particular product that is specially designed for students and teachers. This laptop will sell as such. The company does not make any official date for its launch, but it hinted that it could arrive in early 2022.

Powered by Window 11 SE, Surface Laptop SE launched as an initial level laptop that holds the features of Surface laptop Go such as trackpad and keyboard. The device is created of plastic, and standard screws are fit at the bottom. So that it can easily replace if any part will corrupt or damaged. The company also provides extra spare parts to the school for replacement.

The display of Surface Laptop SE is 11: 6 inches that sports 1336×768 pixel resolution and a 16: 9 aspect ratio. Intel Celeron N4020 and power it Celeron N412. It provides an option of 4GB or 8GB RAM along with 64 GB or 128 GB storage.
