Unstable is a Netflix original American drama that premiered on March 30, 2023. It features Rob Lowe and his son, John Owen Lowe, and they are also the executive producers of the series. The series revolves around an introverted guy, Jackson, played by John Owen Lowe. He starts working for his successful but narcissistic father, Ellis Dragon, at his high-tech bioresearch company called Dragon. After the death of Ellis’ wife, he is highly likely to jeopardize the business after succumbing to mental illness. Therefore, Jackson attempts to save him and the company.

This eight-episode series revolves around Ellis Dragon, the CEO and founder of a biotech company called Dragon. He suffers from a mental issue after the death of his wife. His CFO starts getting worried about the business and calls his estranged son Jackson for help. Jackson, however, resents his father for pressuring him to be like him instead of following his ambitions. The whole series took many exciting turns of events throughout the eight episodes and is reportedly coming back on Netflix for a second season. The renewal was first reported in May 2023; however, many people were uncertain about it due to the WGA strike. Now that the strikes are over, many shows and series have started their productions, just like Unstable.

The show started filming in November 2023. It wrapped up the shoot on January 28, 2024, as per a video posted by John Owen Lowe on Instagram. Since the show has wrapped up filming, it is expected to be back on Netflix by the middle or end of 2024. However, there is no official confirmation of the release window as of now.
