#8 Hereditary (2018)
Hereditary is a dark family drama by Ari Aster that revolves around the nature of grief contained within a horror film. This movie also happens to be his directorial debut for a feature film. But soon, the family starts to encounter strange phenomena, and the origin of Annie’s ancestry begins to unravel.
#7 IT (2017)
IT is based on Stephen King’s novel of the same name. The plot of IT goes around an evil shapeshifting clown, Pennywise, who hunts down children. IT was one of the highest-grossing horror movies of all time, breaking the 44-year record of The Exorcist.
