Andy Cohen Denies Sleeping With John Mayer In Recent Interview

Andy Cohen is America’s most famous television personality. He recently responded to his dating rumor with musician John Mayer. Cohen revealed that both of them are just friends and even though they love each other, there’s nothing sexual between them.

American radio and television talk show host Andy Cohen has responded to his love for John Mayer. In a recent interview with THR, the Watch What Happens Live! host addressed the rumors that he is sleeping with the Grammy winner.

The interviewer said,

Your friendship with Mayer has been a subject of intense speculation. People seem dubious that a straight rock star can have a close platonic relationship with a gay TV personality.

In response, the 55-year-old producer and writer dismissed the speculations, saying,

Let them speculate! I honestly love John Mayer, and he loves me.

But because we’re so affectionate toward each other, people don’t know what box to put that in,

They assume we’re sleeping with each other, which we are most definitely not.

Nonetheless, fans have been joking that 46-year-old Mayer, who is straight, has been very affectionate towards Cohen. During Cohen’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony in February 2022, Mayer appreciated him. 

He’s a Madonna stan and a Deadhead. He’s an A-lister, who parties like a B-lister, with the free spirit of a C-lister,

he said at the time.

I love Andy more than I can tell you. He’s a brilliant human being, a hilarious cohort, a loving son and brother — and more recently he’s become a proud, engaged and deeply devoted father.

Cohen recalled his remarks in the interview with THR. He said,

When he inducted me into the Hollywood Walk of Fame, John Mayer said that I unwittingly have become a gay best friend to people who never had a gay best friend. That really moved me.

Last year, on SiriusXM’s “The Howard Stern Show,” Cohen expressed his affection for John Mayer. Cohen said,

I am in love with John Mayer. We are in love with each other,

However, upon asking, he swore on his children that he and Mayer had never had a sexual relationship.
