His film career is not as successful as his television career. Though some of his early days films, like the 1999 British-Irish comedy drama “Human Traffic”, in which he debuted as Moff, and others like “High Heels and Low Lifes,” were well-received by the audience. Soon after, a series of some of the worst films (as per critics) followed. This included “The Football Factory” (2004 British sports drama), “The All Together” (2007 comedy), and some others.

In 2010, Danny played Stanley in “Pimp,” and almost immediately, the film was pulled from theaters. It was released 4 days later on DVDs, but it is considered one of the worst British films ever made.

The multidimensional aspect of his career is evident in his work in video games, where he voiced the character of Kent Paul in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002) and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004).

    Controversy, News/ Updates

    • Danny Dyer had some negative controversies surrounding him in 2010, when he suggested that a reader mess up his former girlfriend’s face to get over a breakup in his ‘Zoo’ magazine column.
    • The column advised to go on a “rampage” with the boys or “Cut your ex’s face, and then no one will want her.”
    • Immediately after, the magazine came out stating that it was their fault and not Danny’s actual comments. The words were apparently ‘a production error.’
    • Later, he spoke with The Times Magazine and stated, “The line is a quote from a film I’d done, but the idea I would advise someone to do it repulsed me. It was a joke. I don’t know why the editor or sub-editor thought it OK to print that.”
    • There is also speculation about his return as Mick Carter in the hugely successful BBC soap drama “EastEnders.”
