Dead To Me Season 3: All Set For Release On Netflix

Despite a few production delays, Netflix’s Dead to Me season 3 is still progressing forward. After Christina Applegate’s diagnosis in August 2021, filming was put on hold, but it was later resumed. Here’s a rundown of everything we know about Dead to Me season 3 thus far.

Please note that this preview was initially published in May 2020. It has been updated to reflect new developments on a regular basis. The last time it was updated was in December 2021.

Dead to Me is a Netflix Original black-comedy series produced by Liz Feldman for people who are unaware (who signed an overall deal with Netflix off the back of season 2 of Dead to Me). The sitcom has quickly become one of Netflix’s most popular comedy shows. Morever it has over 30 million viewers globally for the first season.

Dead to Me has been renewed for a third season on Netflix.

Netflix confirmed just two months after the release of Dead to Me season 2 that the series will return for a third and final season.

It should come as no surprise that Dead to Me has been renewed again again; the series has consistently ranked high on Netflix’s most popular television series rankings. It debuted at the top of the US charts on the day of its release.

Christina Applegate resorted to social media to express her feelings on the cancellation, stating, “I will miss these ladies.” However, we thought that this was the finest approach to conclude these women’s narrative. Thank you to all of the supporters. We’ll return to work as soon as it’s safe to do so.”

Season 3 of Dead to Me is now in production, with a possible release date in the near future.

Current state of production: Filming was “temporarily” halted. Soon after the renewal, writing began, and it took many months for the screenplays to be approved by Netflix. Liz Feldman said on Twitter on September 18th, 2020 that she had pitched the third season “to my partners”. She also said it had been approved

The plot of the series in this season

Ben, presumably on his way to identify his dead brother Steve’s body, collided with Jen and Judy’s car at the crossroads. After drinking whiskey, the struggling alcoholic raced through a stop sign. It’s unclear if Ben was aware that he had hit Jen and Judy, or if they caught a glimpse of him before he drove away. This will weigh heavily on Ben’s mind, and he’ll be tempted to go for another bottle, especially if he believes he murdered whoever was in the car, not to mention the fact that he’s on his way to identify his deceased brother’s body.
