Dragon's Dogma 2 Will Likely Get A Demo Soon

Japanese video game company Capcom might be preparing for a release of the Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo on PC, as suspected from the back-end updates on Steam. First spotted by the Reddit user CannedBeanofDeath, there have been changes to the game’s listings on Steam, and it is updated with a “free on demand” tag, which is commonly seen on software that is free to play. The “free on demand” tag is seen on f2p titles, free games, or demos for specific titles.

It is believed that users will soon get a free demo for the upcoming action role-playing game, which will be made available on March 22 for $69.99. Moreover, it would not be the first time Capcom released a free demo version of its games. This could be a preview of the game, as Dragon’s Dogma 2 has a massive map. Capcom has been quite good at hiding secrets within the demos. Notably, the remake of Resident Evil 4 also had a cheat code to use the “mad chainsaw” difficulty mode, which was kept a secret in its playable demo. So, the fans are expecting the Dragon’s Dogma 2 demo to have similar secrets.

Interestingly, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is one of the most promising and highly anticipated games for 2024. Moreover, this is the first Capcom game that costs $69.99, which is relatively higher than other games by the developer. Likely, it will not be the last, either, as Capcom said they are planning to conduct a video game price review due to the increase in development costs.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is scheduled to be released on March 22 for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X. Reports also confirmed that the game would feature an uncapped frame rate, making it a plus point for PC users. It will also support NVIDIA DLSS 3 (Frame Generation) on PC.
