Story of Fire Force Seasons 1 & 2

In a realm where humans are unexpectedly combusting, and transforming into demons in the process, an extraordinary fire brigade must take action. Shinra Kusakabe, a pyrokinetic teen with the alias “Devil’s Footprints”, volunteers to join Special Fire Force Company 8. His mission is twofold: prevent further infernal rampages and uncover details of what transpired twelve years ago when his family members suddenly perished.

In order to save humanity from the cursed blaze and finally solve this mysterious fire, Shinra and his company investigate various fire squads. However, they quickly become entangled in a web of corruption, fraudulence, and control.

The second season of Fire Force ended with complete pandemonium. Tokyo was ablaze and intruders were taking over the city, while Captain Hague from Company 4 had unfortunately perished. Shinra’s ongoing training to gain superhuman strength enabled him to have a vision of Adolla that allowed him to witness the captain’s final moments up close.

Season 3 is anticipated to showcase Tamaki and Company 8 as they form coalitions with different groups in Tokyo, providing much-needed support against the White Clad and the Evangelist.

Fire Force Season 3 News

Fire Force’s immense popularity has resulted in numerous adaptations, including animation series, stage productions, and a videogame.

As of May 2022, the Fire Force manga has sold a staggering 20 million copies worldwide and was even nominated for the 45th Kodansha Manga Award in 2021. Although its final chapter was released on February 22, 2022, leaving fans wondering if this could be the last season of animation adaptations.

To date, the anime has adapted 174 chapters of manga across 20 volumes.

Season 1 included volumes from 1 to 11, and Season 2 followed up with the remaining nine. In all likelihood, Season 3 will begin at volume 21 and end at 34.

David Productions, the masterminds behind JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and Cells at Work, will be producing Fire Force Season 3 anime – just as they did with the prior two seasons.

Tatsuma Minamikawa, who served as animation director for Season 2 after taking over from Yuki Yase, might be back for the upcoming third season.

As we eagerly await the return of Fire Force, there is no telling whether this will be its final season.
