Hijack: The Thriller Mini-Series Which Secured Second Position on the Streaming Chart of Apple Series

Idris Elba’s latest work, Hijack, which made its debut on Apple TV on 28 June, has created a buzz on the Internet. Although the reviews have been varied, the popular series has garnered considerable attention and climbed to the second rank on the streaming chart of Apple Series.

The thriller mini-series was developed by George Kay and Jim Field Smith and stars Idris Elba, Neil Maskell, Eve Myles, and Christine Adams alongside Archie Panjabi, Ben Miles, and Kate Phillips.

On August 31, the movie and television news portal, THR, reported that Hijack had claimed the second spot on the popularity chart of the Apple Series with 357 million minutes of viewing time. The Idris Elba series, Hijack, secured the eighth position on the list of popular Apple Series. Meanwhile, it’s the first Apple+ series to make the weekly Top 10 only after Ted Lasso.

The Amazon series Suits secured the first position on the list of most popular series with 3.24 billion minutes viewed, followed by the Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer.

What would be the acceptable scenario if he comes back? Because we’ve thought about this and Apple has gone, ‘Well, we love how.’ And I think, you know, Rotten Tomatoes is at 92% at the moment, which is a good sign, but it’s kind of like — he’s not a cop — what would be the acceptable Sam Nelson return?” said Idris Elba who played the role of Sam Nelson in the mini-series.

Meanwhile, despite good reviews, Hijack has not been renewed for a second season yet. Although, owing to higher anticipation of Hijack Season 2, fans can look forward to the renewal of the series soon. For the upcoming movie “Hijack”, it is highly probable that the cast from Season 2 will be reprising their roles.
