HBO has confirmed House of the Dragon season 3. The shooting is expected to end by October 2025, which started in March 2025. Most of the scenes have been shot in the UK and Spain. The release is predicted around June 2026. This season will come with even more action on the Targaryen civil war and amazing dragon battles.

The producer of Hercules, Rampage, and more hit shows, Ryan Condal, is back as the producer with HBO as the production company. Miguel Sapochnik, the director of season 1 of House of the Dragon, will be directing season 3, and the story is written by George R. R. Martin.

Season 3 has more than twenty-five confirmed cast members. Some old favorites are back. New faces are joining, while 4 of the existing cast will not return this season.

House of the Dragons Season 2 Recap

The season premiered in mid-2024. This consisted of 8 episodes. It started with “A Son for a Son” and ended with “The Queen Who Never Was.” The story built up the Targaryen civil war. Team Black and Team Green fought fiercely over the Iron Throne.

Remember Lucerys Velaryon? His death in season 1 made things worse. Queen Alicent’s son, King Aegon II, barely survived many attacks. Season 2 consisted of family drama, battles, and conspiracies. Fans are expecting season 3 to be more entertaining and filled with drama and action.

What to Expect for House of the Dragons Season 3?
