American singer and songwriter Kelly Clarkson recently opened up about her weight loss journey on her own talk show. While talking with Whoopi Goldberg on The Kelly Clarkson Show, she shared that she did not use the famous drug Ozempic. Instead, her medication was prescribed by her doctor.
Kelly Clarkson’s weight loss has been a hot topic of gossip for a long time. Her transformation shocked the fans and left them to wonder how the 42-year-old singer pulled it off. Many made their own theories that she has taken the help of weight loss drugs. Now, surprisingly, Clarkson clarified that she has indeed used weight loss medicine. However, it was not Ozempic as people thought it would be.
She opened up about this in the latest episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. In a conversation with Whoopi Goldberg, the acclaimed artist said that she relied on a weight loss drug. Unlike others, her doctor prescribes these medications. She also said that people have wrongly assumed it to be Ozempic.
Notably, Kelly said that the drug she took helped her body process her sugar intake. She said,
My doctor chased me for two years, and I was like, ‘No, I’m afraid of it. I already have thyroid problems. Everybody thinks it’s Ozempic, but it’s not. It’s something else… I don’t take Ozempic.
Meanwhile, Kelly also engaged in a meaningful conversation with the show’s guest. She complimented Whoopi,
Every time I run into you, you look younger! You’re like Benjamin Button. It’s like crazy every time you walk in!
In response, Whoopi said,
I am doing that wonderful shot that works for folks who need some help, and it’s been really good for me.
Clarkson, meanwhile, also wasted no time in sharing her personal experience. At first, she clarified that she did not use the FDA-approved drug. she said,
I don’t take Ozempic,
