The rapper and record producer, Sean “Diddy” Combs for sexual assault, battery, discrimination, and sexual trafficking.
She filed the suit in New York and sued former Bad Boy CEO Harve Pierre.
In 2004, the singer met Combs during the 2004 audition for “Making the Band”, where according to Richard, Diddy showcased some very inappropriate behavior.
She was in the girl group, Danity Kane and the R&B trio Diddy Dirty Money with Combs and Kalenna and Harper.
In the lawsuit, she explained that Sean Diddy groped her, threatened her life, and physically assaulted her while they were in the car.
Further, the lawsuit also stated that Dawn Richard saw the rapper assaulting his girlfriend, R&B singer, Cassandra Ventura. Meanwhile, in 2023, a lawsuit was settled over abuse and rape allegations.
On the contrary, Sean Diddy Comb’s lawyer released a statement wherein they stated he was ready to prove Richard’s allegation false.
The attorney, Erica Wolf, quoted, “Dawn Richard has now manufactured a series of false claims all in the hopes of trying to get a payday — conveniently timed to coincide with her album release and press tour.”
Meanwhile, the lawsuit came a day after a Michigan inmate won $100 million from Combs for alleged assault 30 years ago.
Additionally, Derrick Lee Smith won the multimillion-dollar judgment allegedly after the rapper failed to appear at the virtual interview.
On several occasions, when Richard stood for herself, did not perform to Comb’s expectations, or encouraged Ventura to leave, you can then move or threaten to push her, according to the lawsuit filed.
The complaint added, “Many of them appeared lethargic or passed out while Mr. Combs and his guests performed sexual acts on them. Mr. Combs repeatedly said things like ‘this is a buffet, enjoy yourselves; this is what we do, this is how we party.”
