In the reality show, all the participants live in a building with individual apartments. While they are isolated from the outer world or any physical presence, they are allowed to initiate a conversation with other participants through a specifically designed social media platform.
In the application, participants chat through texts, photographs, and biographies. Additionally, they are also allowed to catfish, a tactic wherein participants are allowed to feature completely different characters along with fake photographs.
In the sixth season of The Circle, the reality show is set to introduce an AI chatbot joining the participants as the ultimate catfish. Although the AI chatbot is a robot, it has human tendencies that are developed by studying the behaviour of previous season’s participants.
