After captivating the global audience with its first and second seasons, The Night Agent has wrapped up its Season 3 shoot recently. That’s great news for the show’s fans, there will be The Night Agent Season 3 release date announced soon.
The hit political thriller creator, Shawn Ryan, confirmed on social media that they have wrapped up production of Season 3 after shooting the show throughout the world. Though there has been no official date announcement yet, many are stating that it might be in January 2026.
Cast & Newcomers
Most of the stars of the first two seasons of The Night Agent will return for the third season. Gabriel Basso will return as Peter Sutherland, and Amanda Warren is expected to be back as Catherine Weaver. Even Fola Evans-Akingbola, who was absent throughout the second season, just came in for a cameo on the season 2 finale, will be back full-time for The Night Agent Season 3.
There are talks that the viewers will get to see some new faces, including Jennifer Morrison, Stephen Moyer, Suraj Sharma, Chibuikem Uche, Michael Masini, Genesis Rodriguez, David Lyons, and Callum Vinson.

After travelling throughout the world, New York, Washington D.C., Türkiye, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic, the show finally wrapped up its production on 14 July 2025. The filming began somewhere around November 2024.
Though the starting and ending dates might differ, as different production teams across the world are wrapping up on different dates. But, the show’s creator, Shawn Ryan, posted on X (formerly Twitter) on 14 July 2025 that,
“New York, Washington, D.C., Turkey, Mexico, Dominican Republic… We hit them all. Season 3 of #TheNightAgent has officially wrapped production.”
This Season 3 will have 10 episodes filled with intense action and drama, the creator stating that it will be the best of all three seasons!
Produced by Sony Pictures Television, The Night Agent Season 3 is speculated to hit Netflix in early 2026. Though there’s no official announcement from either the production team or Netflix. Keeping the tradition alive of Season 2 releasing on 23 January 2025, Season 3 might just be another January release next year.
