The American television series, The Punisher, was the first spin-off of the Marvel Netflix series Daredevil. Premiered in 2017, The Punisher earned immense appreciation for its engaging plot. While the unusual design and engaging plot of “The Punisher” immediately captured the audience’s imagination, the second season, which wrapped up in 2019, did not replicate the same impact as its predecessor; however, it ended up obtaining an Emmy nomination. Owing to it, the shift focused on MCU content, prompting speculation that Disney+ can revive the series. However, since Disney+ focuses on more “family-like content” posing a challenge for “The Punisher’s” mature themes. Nevertheless, with Disney’s introduction of star content, there’s hope for the reboot.

Since Season 3 has received an axe, there are no release dates for Season 3 of The Punisher. The announcement came on February 18, 2019, when the streamer announced that it was going to re-evaluate its entire catalogue. Many other Marvel shows have also been axed on Netflix during this turbulent period in the entertainment platform.

Where Can You Watch The Punisher Season 3?

Initially, after Netflix announced its involvement with the Marvel series, it was released on the streaming giant. However, in 2019, along with the cancellation of Season 3, the series’ chances were scrapped.

In 2022, after Disney+ regained licence, all the Marvel series including The Punisher was removed from Netflix and was shifted back to its former streamer.
