Attack on London: Hunting the 7/7 Bombers is a four-part Netflix documentary series that reconstructs the 7 July 2005 London bombings and the intense three-week investigation that followed. Rather than focusing only on the attack itself, the series follows the investigation as authorities attempt to identify the four suicide bombers and determine whether further attacks are imminent. The bombings targeted London’s transport network, killing 52 people and injuring more than 700.

The documentary moves from the immediate chaos in London to the investigation’s trail through Luton and Leeds, showing how investigators pieced together evidence while communities faced fear, suspicion and media pressure. The story then takes a darker turn with the failed 21 July attacks, which intensified the nationwide manhunt and contributed to the fatal mistaken shooting of Jean Charles de Menezes by police.

Survivors, victims’ families, investigators, firearms officers, journalists, former officials, and people connected to the bombers provide testimony alongside previously unseen archive material. The four episodes, ranging from 40 to 51 minutes, gradually shift from the attacks to the forensic investigation, police pursuit, and the public breakthrough that helped turn the hunt around.
