Steal is a high-stakes crime thriller that revolves around Zara Dunne, an everyday employee at Lochmill Capital, a pension investment firm based in London. Her ordinary workday becomes a nightmare when an armed group bursts into the office and compels Zara and her closest friend, Luke, to follow orders tied to an enormous financial heist. The criminals are after roughly £4 billion in pension funds that belong to ordinary workers, which instantly makes the robbery far more grave than a typical corporate theft.

Following the robbery, Detective Chief Inspector Rhys Covac leads the investigation, while Zara grows more and more entangled in trying to piece together what really took place. As the narrative unfolds, the stolen money steers investigators toward influential figures, financial scheming, concealed ties, and a far-reaching conspiracy.
