Quick Verdict
The Hawk is a sports comedy made for people who like Will Ferrell's over-the-top humor, stories about troubled families, and jokes about golf. The main appeal is the gap between Lonnie's belief that he can still rule professional golf and the messy truth of his return. Anyone hoping for a serious golf drama should know this takes a far more comedic route.

The Hawk has a strong central performance from Will Ferrell, a recognizable ensemble cast, a distinctive professional-golf setting, and enough family conflict to give the comedy more than one storyline.
Cons
The show's adult humor, dysfunctional relationships, exaggerated characters, and intentionally chaotic tone may not appeal to viewers looking for a serious or realistic professional-golf drama.
