In 1986, Wendy Williams began her professional career as a disc jockey with WVIS in Frederiksted, U.S. Virgin Islands. She held the post for 8 months before moving on to work at WOL. Later she worked at WQHT where she was employed for 2 years prior to letting go. However, that would not be the end of this innovative woman’s journey. One of the defining moments in her career came when The Wendy Williams Show premiered in 2008.

For years, she loathed this talk show, until 2021, when it became a smashing success and propelled her to fame. After scoring roles in Martin (1992) and Dancing with the Stars among others, Wendy Williams presented The Wendy Williams Experience which launched her career into overdrive. Subsequent television appearances included Braxton Family Values, Best Time Ever by Neil Patrick Harris as well as Death By Gossip With Wendy Williams.

She has a plethora of acting credits to her name, including the 2004 movie The Cookout where she starred as Reporter No. 2. Her other movies include Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, Think Like A Man, and Think Like a Man Too.
