The Oscar-winning American rapper Common, aka Lonnie Rashid Lynn, has teased his relationship with Jennifer Hudson on her show, “The Jennifer Hudson Show.” The couple first sparked dating rumors in 2022, and Common has now given a green flag to the audience during a teasy conversation on Hudson’s show. On Monday’s episode of the show, the 42-year-old host introduced Common, who brings her flowers and sits down to open up about his love life. Hudson asks the 51-year-old rapper if he’s dating anyone. “Now, we gotta get down to business, Mr. Common. I’m a host and so I have to ask you this question ’cause everybody always wanna know this—are you dating anyone?” she asked.
He answers the question playfully and says, “I’m in a relationship that is with one of the most beautiful people I ever met in life. She’s smart, she loves God, she has something real down-to-earth about her, she’s talented.” He added, “But I set my standard kind of high because she had to have an EGOT. She had to win an Oscar on her first movie. I set my stand high. She had to get her own talk show.” Hudson turned red at his answer and said, “Oh, OK.”

Meanwhile, Common turned the question on her and asked her about her dating life. “I’m dating this brother, and I am very happy,” she says. When Hudson asks him if he’s happy in his relationship, he says, “This relationship is a happy place for me. Seeing her happy actually makes me really happy. So, I’m very grateful. I thank God each and every day, and I’m just letting God guide this relationship.” The full episode is scheduled to air on January 22.
