Destiny 2 Brings Armor Cosmetics Inspired by God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon

Destiny 2 – Season of the Deep has just dropped and Bungie and PlayStation are bringing some very interesting content in the form of armor cosmetics. The content is available across platforms and features noticeable references to a lot of PlayStation’s popular IPs.

All three classes of Destiny 2 characters are to receive a new armor ornament set. The hunters will get the “Anointed” cosmetic set which you’ll be able to relate to Aloy from the Horizon franchise. The Titans will get the Godsbane ornament creating stark similarities with Kratos from God of War. The Warlocks will get the Ancestral ornament alluding to the style of Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima. The ornaments will come with unique finisher moves inspired by the characters they refer to.

Notably, Horizon Zero Dawn was created in 2017 by Guerrilla Games. God of War was created by Santa Monica Studio and Ghost of Tsushima was created by Sucker Punch Productions. The characters in these games are the intellectual properties of PlayStation.

The details on the armor cosmetics are excellently taken care of. They make the allusion to different PlayStation Studios IPs very obvious. Along with the armors, the Destiny 2 Season of the Deep will feature some exciting post-campaign pursuits. Destiny is quite popular for its multiplayer gameplay mechanics and the missions outside of the main narrative line have a solid fan base.

For those who are uninitiated, Destiny is an online multiplayer first-person shooter game, first released in 2014. In the game, you play the role of Guardians, protectors of Earth’s last safe city set in a post-apocalyptic world in a mythic universe where humanity has colonized various planets and moons. The three primary classes that you can play as are Hunters, Titans, and Warlocks. As we mentioned earlier, all three classes are getting new armor cosmetics.
