Coming from humble beginnings, Kwame Brown etched a place for himself in the NBA and Washington Wizards.     The former American basketball player Kwame Brown’s birth name is Kwame Hasani Brown. He was born on March 10, 1982, in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed his schooling at Glynn Academy in Georgia and was a popular player there.

    His career started in 2001 when he was selected for the McDonald’s All-American Team. His brilliant performance in high school somehow contributed to his career in the NBA. He was quite immature, and in his rookie season, he somehow managed to get 3.5 rebounds and 4.5 points per game. After this, he improved himself and his game with time, becoming the favourite by Season 3.

    Throughout his career span, Brown has participated in 12 seasons in the NBA. He has played alongside many famous basketball players, including the late Kobe Bryant.

    Brown has played for many teams. This includes the Washington Wizards, the Memphis Grizzlies, and the Golden Warriors. He has an average of 5.5 rebounds and 6.6 points, and after November 2013, he became a free agent.

    He also played on the 3-Headed Monsters team. They also made it to the league’s finals but ended up losing with a final score of 51-64 against the Trilogy.

    Recently, the player came into the spotlight. He was defending himself through his YouTube videos. He mocked some people, especially those who targeted him. They made disturbing comments about his career in Basketball. This increased his popularity and fame.

    Kwame Brown’s salary was $64 million before fees and taxes during his career. From endorsement deals, including taxes, he earned an extra $35 million. Also, he signed a $55 million contract with Adidas. He also brought many sponsorships for the teams.

    ESPN.com reported that Brown signed a deal with the Pistons on a 2-year deal worth $8 million in 2008. Then, in 2010, he signed a one-year deal with the Bobcats. Right after that, Brown signed a one-year contract with the Warriors. It was worth $7 million. In 2012, for $6 million, he agreed to a two-year contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.

    But, in a lawsuit in 2018, he revealed that his financial advisors had stolen 17.8 million dollars.  He says they copied his signature in different forms. It allowed them to invest and make stock trades that Brown didn’t even give his consent to.

    In August 2003, he went to jail for driving under the influence of alcohol. This took place near Brunswick, his hometown. Again, in 2007, Brown got arrested. It was on the charge of conduct of disorder and interference with a law enforcement officer. This happened after the incident. The driver of the car, in which he was the passenger, went to jail for the drunk driving case.

    Brown was also arrested by the Georgia State Police on March 31st, 2019. He went to jail for possessing edible marijuana products. Also, he had felony possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. He had to pay a lot of money to bail himself out of that hellhole.

    He is currently married to Marcia Brown. They are spending a very happy life together and have not gotten into any controversies so far. Marcia is a teacher by profession. The couple has two wonderful kids, a daughter and a son.

    Somewhere in the early 2000s, he moved in with his ex-girlfriend, Joselyn Vaughn. They spent almost 17 years together. But after seeing Brown’s downfall in his career, the couple faced a lot of marital issues. He sued her for custody of his daughters. His girlfriend sued him for child support.
