After Ted’s hurtful insult, Nathan walked away from AFC Richmond and accepted the coach position for a rival team owned by Rupert. Rupert was Rebecca Welton’s (Hannah Waddingham) former husband. Once season two ended, this marked his final farewell to the club.

Jason Sudeikis joins Jeff Ingold and Lawrence of Doozer Productions to serve as the executive producers for this Warner Bros. Universal Television project. Liza Katzer came on board as co-executive producer for Ted Lasso.

Created by Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Lawrence, and Joe Kelly, Ted Lasso is based on the existing format of NBC Sports with familiar characters.
