Ted Lasso Season 3 Announcement

At Apple’s Television Critics Association (TCA) 2023 press tour, the Ted Lasso team made a brief announcement regarding their upcoming Season 3. During the panel about Shrinking, another comedy series in production, co-creator Bill Lawrence stayed tight-lipped about Ted Lasso season 3. But he went on to add, “I’ve seen cuts, and it’s f****** amazing.”

Additionally, writer and actor Brett Goldstein (a.k.a Roy Kent) was in attendance to share his admiration for the series. He also shared how proud he was of this season’s progress.

Ted Lasso season 3: First Look 

As season two came to a close, Ted (Jason Sudeikis) and Nathan Shelley (Nick Mohammed) emerged as rivals. It is here that the streaming giant seems to pick up the story threads for an exciting third season.

The initial image of season 3 demonstrates the two characters in an intense face-off. The image also showcases the antagonist, Rupert Mannion (Anthony Head), looming ominously behind them.

After Ted’s hurtful insult, Nathan walked away from AFC Richmond and accepted the coach position for a rival team owned by Rupert. Rupert was Rebecca Welton’s (Hannah Waddingham) former husband. Once season two ended, this marked his final farewell to the club.

Jason Sudeikis joins Jeff Ingold and Lawrence of Doozer Productions to serve as the executive producers for this Warner Bros. Universal Television project. Liza Katzer came on board as co-executive producer for Ted Lasso.

Created by Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt, Lawrence, and Joe Kelly, Ted Lasso is based on the existing format of NBC Sports with familiar characters.
