Konami is bringing a lot of its classics back by partnering up with Limited Run Games. They have introduced two classic game series on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch this year. The first collection is Felix the Cat, which will have the Nintendo Entertainment System and Game Boy games that were released in 1992 and 1993, respectively, while the second collection is Rocket Knight Adventures (Sega Genesis), Sparkster: Rocket Knight Adventures 2 (Sega Genesis), and Sparkster (Super NES). Limited Run Games will release limited editions of both classics.
According to a news release, Konami has stated that both games will work on the Limited Runs Carbon Engine and will be an improved version of the earlier ones. Limited Runs Games will release the physical version, and Konami will release the digital version of the Felix collection. The Re-Sparked collection is expected to have an animated introduction, a rewind feature, and many new additions that no one has seen before. They have also shared that other Carbon Engine re-releases are on the way, and another collection is expected to be introduced on February 24.
