Netflix has officially canceled FUBAR, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first lead TV role, after Season 2 failed to get a strong response from fans. The second season saw a major drop in viewership. Numbers fell by 73 percent during premiere week. That sharp decline is the main reason Netflix decided not to continue the series.
Cast of Fubar Season 2
Fubar Season 2 brought in some big names. Arnold Schwarzenegger returned as Luke Brunner, a tough but lovable CIA agent. Monica Barbaro, recently Oscar-nominated, played Emma, who is Luke’s bold and quick-witted daughter.
Carrie-Anne Moss, best known from The Matrix, came in as Greta, a former spy and Luke’s ex, who brought both heart and a bit of drama. Milan Carter was back as Barry, the tech whiz who always had a joke ready. Fortune Feimster, known for her stand-up comedy, returned as Rue with her same energy. Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, and Fabiana Udenio also returned with more laughs and backup action.
Story of Fubar Season 1 and 2
Season 1 came out in May 2023 with 8 episodes. It introduced Luke and Emma, a father and daughter who were both secret agents without knowing it about each other. Once their cover was blown, they had to work together. Season 1 had a fun mix of action, humor, and family drama. It was light, fast, and easy to enjoy.

In Season 2, everything was on the wider path. The missions went worldwide, Luke had to deal with his past, Emma started finding her path, and Greta showed up, adding both tension and chemistry. But even with bigger action and new characters, the excitement from Season 1 didn’t return.
What About Fubar Season 3 and the Future
There are no plans for Fubar Season 3. If it had continued, the cast likely would have included Schwarzenegger, Barbaro, and Moss. But now, the mission has ended.
Other Netflix Shows Getting Their Next Part
While FUBAR is cancelled, Netflix is bringing back other fan favorites. Stranger Things: The Final Chapter and The Witcher: Origins will continue where the shows left off.
Stranger Things 5 and Wednesday Season 3 are also on the way. And after Queen Charlotte, more Bridgerton spin-offs are expected.
So even if FUBAR ends here, Netflix is still expanding its biggest hits in bigger, bolder, and newer ways.
