Scottie Maurice Pippen was born on September 25th, 1965, in Hamburg, Arkansas to Ethel and Preston Pippen. He was the youngest of his 12 siblings, and his father worked in a paper mill until he suffered a stroke, which paralyzed his right side. Scottie attended a local high school where he developed a passion for basketball and qualified for the state playoffs. He went on to play for the University of Central Arkansas and was selected in the first draft of the 1987 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics.
In his personal life, Scottie Pippen has been married twice. His first marriage was to Karen McCollum in 1988, and they have a son, Antron. However, they divorced in 1990. He played for 23 minutes, scoring 10 points, making 4 assists, getting 2 steals, and grabbing 1 rebound.
