When was Sex Education Season 4 Renewed?

Just one week after the third season of Sex Education was released, Netflix made an exciting announcement at their TUDUM event. They renewed the show for a fourth season.
In September 2021, Netflix’s new top 10 data revealed that season 3 of the show was one of its biggest releases. It even made it to the all-time list for series watched with 418.76 million watch hours in just 28 days.
For six weeks, the show held its position in the top 10 of weekly global ratings.
When to Expect Sex Education on Netflix?
We have been blessed with a season of Sex Education each year since it first aired on Netflix in January 2019. But the fourth installment will be the one to change this streak.
According to the production listings from June 2022, filming of the series was scheduled to begin in July 2022 and continue until March 2023. However, it wasn’t until August that reports confirmed shooting had started.
Production took place once more in Wales, Cardiff especially, situated within the United Kingdom’s boundaries. Rumor has it that this project is funded at an average of between $3 and $5 million per episode.
On February 10th, 2023, filming for the fourth season finally came to an end. Aimee Lou Wood (who acts as ‘Aimee Gibbs’) celebrated this momentous occasion by posting a bouquet of flowers along with the message: “Wrap on season 4. Everyone has worked so hard. Thank you. Love you.” in her Instagram story.
Based on all the news about season 4 of Sex Education, it is highly likely that we will be seeing its release no earlier than summer 2023.
