What to expect from Discovery season 5?

You would be familiar that the series was set at the beginning of the Star Trek franchise’s timeline. It follows the events before Star Trek: The Original Series took place. With a time travel incident, the entire Star Trek: Discovery crew was sent 900 years ahead of time. Moreover, the previous four seasons follow various events that have beautifully caught the attention of the audience.

Meanwhile, the official synopsis for the upcoming installment states,

In season 5, Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncover a mystery that sends them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries.

But there are others on the hunt, as well… dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves, and will stop at nothing to get it.
