However, the show creator Shawn Ryan said, “We’re in the story-breaking, script-writing phase, and my guess is, sometime in the next [few weeks, up to a month], they’ll make a decision about officially greenlighting Season 4, and if and when they do, we’ll be ready to go with the scripts so that there’s not that much time between Season 3 and Season 4.”

However, the gap between seasons 2 and 3 was reduced to just 13 months, and according to this information, it is highly anticipated that season 4 will also be released sooner, sometime at the start of 2027.
Shawn said, “I think Netflix cares about its viewers and is looking for ways to minimize the time between the seasons of its most successful shows.”
This might be possible because the critics’ response to season 2 in comparison to season 1 was lower. As per the reports, the series became the third-most-viewed debuting series on Netflix in its first four days, with 98.2 million views in its first 91 days. However, Season 2 has delivered 53.2M views in 159 days, that too in approximately 2X days.

Spoiler of The Night Agent Season 3
Season 3 of the series has raised the bar higher than that of the first two seasons. It takes Peter, the FBI agent, on the most dangerous mission of his life.
This time, he uncovers the biggest corruption scandal that has links with several powerful persons. The money foreprints led the way for the FBI agents to the President and First Lady, after which they had to leave their positions in disgrace. This time, along with Isabel De León, the journalist and analyst Jay Batra, Peter is solving the case and will expose how illegal money was used to influence the presidential election.
The final episode is about the fight between Peter and Adam. The story took a twisted turn when, instead of killing him, Peter convinced Adam that he had been manipulated. After everything, Peter decided to take some time away from duty to recover mentally and physically.
At the end, Freya, the whistleblower, is poisoned by a mysterious assassin known as The Father. This raised questions among fans, and they are asking for the renewal of The Night Agent season 4.
