The battle between the two famed competitors just got a little interesting. A recent leak of Android signifies a collaboration between IOS and Android. Apple’s E-Sim technology, which has been an exclusive feature in IOS, might now take its place in Android Smartphones. The E-SIM feature, to be launched in the upcoming Android 16 beta version, opens the gates for users to enjoy an easier transition from iPhone to Android phones. Simplifying the process of switching phones without requiring a physical SIM card.
In the latest release of Android by Google last week, users found that the Android 16 QPR1 beta version had new updates in Google’s manage SIM section. This update indicates a new update in the “Transfer to Reset” option in IOS 19. There is a possibility of transferring the user’s iOS E-SIM to Android without needing to call for a QR code to reactivate the physical SIM card. Well. Till now, there is no confirmation on the same by any of the two authorities, but users are keeping their hopes high.
However, there is a slight chance that IOS will announce this feature during the WWDC. Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference organised every year in June at their spaceship campus. Also, according to the sources, Google has been working on this concept of wireless, but there’s a certain certainty that Google is working on this concept of a wireless SIM card or E-Sim. There’s a possibility that it has reached the destination.
